Periodontology
Gum health and bleeding control.
Periodontology focuses on the health of gums and the supporting tissues around teeth. Gum bleeding, redness, swelling, bad breath, gum recession and tooth mobility may be important signs of periodontal disease.
The treatment plan changes according to disease level. Scaling, root surface debridement, plaque-control education, monitoring of periodontal pockets and, when necessary, surgical periodontal procedures may be performed.
Regular maintenance and controls are inseparable parts of periodontal treatment. The goal is to control inflammation, protect the tissues that support the teeth and make daily oral care sustainable.
