General Anesthesia
An important option for children and disabled individuals.
Dental treatment under general anesthesia allows the patient to be treated while asleep in operating-room conditions with an anesthesiologist present. At CTG Dental, this approach may be considered especially for children, disabled individuals, patients with intense dental fear or cases requiring multiple procedures in one session.
Before the procedure, the patient's general health, medications, required tests and suitability for anesthesia are evaluated. During treatment, the anesthesia team monitors vital signs while the dentist completes planned extractions, fillings, root canal treatments, scaling or other procedures in the appropriate order.
General anesthesia is not a standard method for every patient. Need, risk and expected benefit are evaluated together. The aim is to complete treatment safely and comfortably for patients who have difficulty cooperating or are highly anxious.
