Endodontics
A treatment approach focused on preserving the tooth with root canal therapy.
Endodontics focuses on preserving the natural tooth in cases of infection, pain or trauma affecting the nerve and vascular tissue inside the tooth. Root canal treatment is an important option for keeping many teeth in the mouth instead of extracting them.
During treatment, infected or damaged pulp tissue is removed, the root canals are shaped and filled with suitable material. Afterward, fillings, onlays or crowns may be planned to protect tooth strength.
The success of root canal treatment is closely related to correct diagnosis, careful cleaning of canal anatomy and a well-sealed final restoration. Early evaluation of pain or sensitivity can reduce the risk of tooth loss.
